Clinical Consultations

A clinical consultation with a with a surgical oncologist, gynecological oncologist or medical oncologist is an opportunity to evaluate your medical history and condition, to discuss the available treatments as well as to set goals.

To ensure that your clinical consultation is productive, you want to arrive prepared. Our participating physicians have outlined what information they deem to be necessary to a successful consultation. They are listed below.

Patient information necessary for independent evaluation

  • Most recent history and physical
  • Recent CT scan films and reports (abdomen, pelvis and chest, originals or on CD)
  • Recent Pet Scan
  • Pathology slides and pathology report
  • Most recent blood work including tumor markers: CEA, CA19-9, CA125
  • Operative notes from previous surgeries
  • Summary of all chemotherapy treatment regimes
Remember that the better prepared you are, the sooner you'll be on the road to receiving the proper medical treatment.
